Governor’s Office elaborates on plans for financial investments in Arizona’s water future

As in nearly all his previous State of the State addresses, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey on January 10 emphasized the importance of water to the State’s future.

“One area where our work clearly isn’t done is on water,” said Governor Ducey in his eighth and final State of State speech.

New “Water Book” outlines Arizona’s path forward on water

The Governor’s Office has released “Securing Arizona’s Water Future,” an illustrated outline of Governor Ducey’s plan for taking action to help secure the State’s water supplies.

The “water book,” as it is known, is available on the Governor’s website.

Water Resources official briefs environmental summit on Governor’s water-law reform plans

“If there’s one thing Arizona is the best in the nation at – it’s water.” – Governor Doug Ducey in his State of the State Address, January 11, 2016

An official with the Arizona Department of Water Resources told attendees at an “environmental and sustainability summit” in Prescott on Thursday that talks organized this summer by Governor Doug Ducey to update and refine Arizona water laws are moving reform proposals forward.

Baby on board: Water Resources a leader in expanding “Infant at Work” program

For public consumption, three-month-old Juniper smiles and coos. And sleeps. And, really, there you have it.

Occasionally there is an impatient bleat at Mom – water resources planning specialist Natalie Mast – to get on with fulfilling one or the other of Juniper’s very basic needs.

The Water Resources budget: Gov. Ducey and the Legislature are providing the tools

The budget numbers for the 2018 fiscal year are in – approved by the Arizona State Legislature and signed by Gov. Doug Ducey – and, once again, Arizona’s elected leaders have demonstrated a strong commitment to the management and expansion of water resources in both Arizona and the Southwest.
